My Friend

You lifted me up
You gave me confidence where I had none
But it was all worth nothing
When the day was done
And my night of terror-
BEGAN!
So many thoughts!
I stumbled then I ran,
Can’t find a confidant!!
They’ve all forgotten how to feel!!!
Then I realized
I could be blessed by this curse,
The incapacity to know what’s real,
but I’m bigger than this. I NEED OUT!
Bask in Pollution,
Poison your lungs with prescription fun.
Eighteen,
And your life is already as good as done.
What do you see in this inability to speak,
This shit that makes you stupid,
drives you mad, makes you fucking weak?
Let’s go outside! Let’s open our eyes.
Let’s breathe in the air and let’s be young
Let’s live, Let’s discover, and forever we’ll remember,
the good the bad and the shades of grey,
And we’ll be better for it in the end,
Trust in me,
My friend.
